Impact Fees (current schedule)

Impact Fees are authorized by state law Title 7, Chapter 6, Part 16, MCA.  The City of Three Forks implemented Impact Fees in 2006.

The City Council appoints members to an Impact Fee Advisory Board, who reviews the Capital Improvements Plan and looks at infrastructure improvements that would occur in the next five years.  The Committee then breaks each project down by those needed for existing service versus those needed for growth.  Growth then pays its fair to improve infrastructure via an Impact Fee.

In 2023, the Committee reviewed the new Capital Improvements plan and recommended updating the existing Water, Wastewater and Fire Impact Fees, as well as creating new fees for Municipal Buildings, Transportation, and a new Southeast Zoning District area.

Existing fees may be found here.

Updates and New proposed fees are set for decision on 6/10/2025 and may be found here.
